| Wow!!! I forgot about my xanga page! I think I may have to start using this thing again, woo! It's been like two years since my last entry and so much has happened since then. I graduated from MSU with my bachelors in elementary education, yay! It's funny that one of my last entries was talking about applying to the teaching program! I'm leaving for England in three weeks. I am doing a study abroad program there that allows me to work in some elementary schools there and learn about how to incorporate cool new technologies into my lesson plans! It's going to be so awesome and I'm super excited for the trip. It's three weeks long and I'll be staying at a college university in Plymouth, England. I will also be spending time in London, as well. Perhaps I will use this blog during my trip to keep all you interested readers filled in on my adventures.....okay probably no one will read this but oh well. I start my teaching internship year this fall after coming home from England then after a trip to Higgins Lake. Jake and I are still going strong at 3 and a half years! We have lived together for a year now and are about to move to a new apartment! I'll have to update more another time because I am about to go to lunch at Panera then over to the Montie house to see the Ellie pup!! Talk to you all later! Tara | | |
| Wow, its been a long time since I've updated. So long that xanga has even changed its formatting.....nuts! I'm finally at my new apartment. Its really sweet I like it alot. It's actually beinging to feel like "home", which I dont object to at all. It's the fall, and that means football season, woot! It should be an interesting season, I'm not sure how I feel about our team yet, but it's pretty much up to Drew Stanton to get us where we need to be....he's the man tho . Last weekend was a good time. It was Kristen's 21st birthday so we all went to Ann Arbor to celebrate. We ended up getting VIP treatment at the club, it was pretty damn cool. I had a great time dancing on stage with my Obie and drinking yummy Dirty Girl Scouts and Sharkbowls, yum! Classes and work and bills are all taking up the majority of my time again as usual. Yuck...eh? I have good feelings about this year though. I'm going to get my credit back up to the best of my ability, and my gpa up too hopefully. Which brings me to my next topic... Next week I'm applying to the College of Ed. Yeah, i know I'm way overdue....but It's time, and I'm super nervous. Not to mention i have to wait like 5 months to find out if I made it in or not. Siiigh....wish me luck! Alright kids, sorry this is a boring entry....I'm gonna get going though and get some sleep before class tomorrow. Peace! Tara | | |
| Its strange that I really consider my apartment to be "home". It's going to be sad to leave it in about two weeks. There was lots of good memories here, and my bedroom I will miss the most!
Summer classes are finally done for me. I ended up just passing my math class...but at least i tried and never have to take it again. I'm starting to get apprehensive about applying to the college of ed in the fall. I really really dont know what im going to do if i dont get in. I dont really have a back up plan. Im just hoping for the best!
Higgins Lake is coming up soon (a couple days after i move into my new apartment to be exact) it will definately be a nice vacation "away from it all". Im trying to get somewhat in shape this year...thats my goal. I have a step aerobics class with Liz and Im going to try and start to do sit ups again every night. We'll see how it goes!
I'm having a party here Saturday, one last shindig before I move. It should be a good time, I'm very excited!!! If you all dont know about it, feel free to stop by! | | |
| This summer doesn't really seem like summer as of yet...does anyone else agree?
Between juggling my summer math class and working at old navy a lot I feel like I haven't really had my "summer break" yet. Ehh....after the 29th, when my class ends, things should be less stressfull. I'm definatly looking forward to that.
This past weekend was basically "hang out with Jake's family" weekend, which doesn't bother me at all, for the record. Saturday was cousin Jessica's wedding in which I got to see Norma Lindholm "boogie down" *shakes finger in air* and I got to slow dance with my Obie in my dress and heels. It was a good time, and just makes me imagine my own wedding. *yeah i know i know....* I can't help it, being a girl and all. But its fun knowing somewhat what lies ahead in my future in that sense.
I got pretty burned last week laying at the pool with Jenn and Natt. Yikes...I'm definately wearing sunscreen from now on (bad me.) Good thing i still had the aloe in the refrigerator from last summers Higgin's Lake camping Trip!
I move apartments at the end of July (either the 27th or 28th) to the building across from me. It will be so nice having rent only 290/month. Maybe I can actually start saving some money up in my savings account!
The annual Higgins Lake camping trip is also at the end of July (a couple days after I move, to be exact.) I'm really excited. It will be nice to finally have a "vacation". Let alone it being with my Obie. Laying on the beach at night looking at stars, talking around the campfire...siiigh, i cant wait.
Theresa had baby Jonah a couple days ago, congrats Theresa!
I just did a ton of laundry...phew...that was definately on the "to-do" list for a while. I need to clean my room now! I hope everyone had a great weekend!
